What is XSEDE?

The Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) is a single virtual system, funded by the NSF, that scientists can use to interactively share computing resources, data and expertise.

XSEDE resources are available to US-based researchers and are free to use. XSEDE is an open scientific discovery infrastructure combining leadership class resources at eleven partner sites to create an integrated, persistent computational resource. Please explore XSEDE's Getting Started page to determine if there is an XSEDE resource or resources that meets your computational needs, and for information on accessing those resources.

How ARC can help

ARCTS participates in the XSEDE Campus Champion program which provides a local, UMich person, to answer questions about XSEDE and facilitate access to the organization’s resources. Contact Shelly Johnson or Todd Raeker for more information. Or you can also contact XSEDE directly at help@xsede.org.
